Our family sessions are great fun and are more like a family outing than a photo shoot. We work out a number of locations, usually starting at or near your home, and work from there choosing different locations and scenarios and also, optionally, different wardrobes for each session in the shoot.

We plan the session around the needs of the children, especially if they are young, as they will probably need a rest, some food and drink or just some encouragement during a three or four hour shoot

Bump, Baby and Toddler Photography

Photographing babies is all about soft light. We position the baby, usually with mum and dad, in places that are softly lit by window light. We try to avoid flash for obvious reasons.

For toddlers and young children, posing in the conventional sense is obviously out of the question and in any case would look very strange! Instead we create scenarios for the children such as running, picking flowers, skipping or looking for bugs.

We then capture them just as they are: inquisitive, engrossed and happy

Children and Teens Photography

Children and teens are often some of our most enthusiastic and uninhibited groups and, after a few gentle tips on posing, they tend to throw themselves into the experience whole-heartedly. The key is not to be too prescriptive in posing them but just let them enjoy themselves. Relaxed happy people make relaxed happy pictures. Just read more

Couples Photography

We love working with couples. All of our wedding clients automatically get a couples portrait shoot as part of their package because it is a great way of getting them used to being photographed before their big day.

But as well as that it gives them a chance to get great, intimate images of themselves taken by a professional for what is often their very first time as a couple.

Our couples portrait shoots are very similar to our Pre-Wedding Shoots. We find a location that means something to you, or just somewhere you like. It doesn’t have to be picturesque; in fact sometimes the opposite is better. Then we work on posing and finding out how you interact as a couple and at the end of it you get a fabulous gallery of images showing not only how great you look together but also the essence of the bond between you.
